This is a remake of the Weedle sprite found in Pokémon Gold Version

If I remember correctly
Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition was the first video game I ever owned
I absolutely loved playing the first two generations of Pokémon games
Yes the graphics were simplistic and the music was primitive but those are just some of the things that make the games so great

Weedle is not one of my favourite Pokémon but that doesn't mean I dislike it
Weedle despite having a very simple design is in my opinion quite cute
I feel it is one of the more memorable Kanto Pokémon due to it being available to capture very early in the game
I've never had any real interest in catching and training a weedle but I can think of plenty other Pokémon I like less

I was looking at the battle sprites for Pokémon Gold trying to find a sprite simple enough for me to recreate
Weedle isn't the most simple battle sprite in Pokémon Gold but it seemed simple enough for me to work with
I also picked Weedle because I felt like giving myself a bit of a challenge
